Lebkuchen always reminds me of Germany and the most wonderful Medieval Christmas Market in the world… selling Glühwein, Bratwurst, Kartoffelpuffer, Schweineschnitzel… and Lebkuchen… Delicious German Christmas cookies that are very similar taste-wise to gingerbread. Beautifully spiced, smothered in a chocolatey covering. Lebkuchen always reminda me of visits to the Medieval Christmas Market in Esslingen, where artists fill the streets with juggling, music and nonsense… My homemade Lebkuchen……
