SPROUT AND BACON SKEWER

Do you also have a brussels sprout hating family? 

Many of us have memories of bitter over-cooked sprouts from our childhood, but I promise you that this recipe will change your opinion completely. 

I cook the sprouts just enough so that they still have a small amount of bite in them, then weave them onto a skewer between delicious streaky bacon.

Delicious grilled Bacon Wrapped Brussel Sprouts on a skewer!

Ingredients

  • 16-20 Sprouts

  • 4-5 Rashers of thick streaky Bacon

  • 4-5 Wood Skewers

  • 2-3 tbsp Healthy Oil

  • 1 tsp Liquid Stevia (optional)

Method

  • Boil the sprouts in sweetened salted water until they still have a slight bite
  • Drain
  • Take a skewer, sprouts and rasher of bacon. Weave the sprouts and bacon as pictured
  • Fry in hot oil, being careful not to burn the sprouts
