CRISPY HALLOUMI CRISPS

Do you miss potato crisps like I do?

I had to find some sort of easy alternative…… !

And here it is!

Deliciously salty, with a creamy, buttery flavour and a tangy finish.

As crisp as crisps – not the same – but just as good!

* Halloumi or haloumi is a semi-hard, unripened cheese made from a mixture of goat’s and sheep’s milk, and sometimes also cow’s milk. It has a high melting point and so can easily be fried or grilled. It is often associated with the island of Cyprus, where it has been produced by a multi-ethnic population for many centuries.

Method

  • preferably using a Mandoline: Slice the halloumi cheese in wafer thin slices, the thinner the better.

  • I love salt & vinegar crisps… I add drops of vinegar when eating…
