BACON WRAPPED GREEN BEANS

Pretty little bundles of bacon wrapped French “green beans” known as Haricot verts… which are longer and thinner than your average green bean.

This amazingly simple, yet delicious recipe for green beans can be made in 40 minutes (or less) and you only need 2 ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 500 g French Green Beans =

  • 6 x 6-7 Beans

  • For ever 7 Beans 1 Rasher of Smoked Bacon.

Method

  • Steam beans until they still have a bit of bite.
  • When cooled, lie ca 7 beans next to each other on one rasher of bacon, and then tightly roll up.
  • Heat a frying pan (without oil) and when it is very hot, lay 3-4 bean parcels slightly apart in the pan.
  • The pan needs to be very hot because you don’t want the bacon to sweat and release water.
  • Turn 3-4 times until the bacon is crispy.
