My name is Michelle, mum or four grown up humans, food blogger, low carb recipe developer, photographer and healthy lifestyle enthusiast. Today, I live in beautiful Stratford upon Avon with my Husband Arvid and our two mad spaniels Meg and Luna. My food inspirations and experience come from a time when I lived near the Black Forest on the German/French border, often slipping across to relish the culinary delights of French cuisine and shopping French supermarkets for delicacies not found in Germany.
The French have a gloriously healthy infatuation with good food and wine and there is a French saying “Dis-moi ce que tu manges, je te dirai qui tu es” – Tell me what you eat, and I’ll tell you who you are. Food is more than fuel for the body. For me, it is shared love made edible! It is nourishment for the body and the soul, a way of bringing people together and spreading happiness. Whenever I can, I try to use ingredients that are locally, sustainably and ethically sourced. I feel from personal experience that happy, ethically raised farm animals produce tastier and healthier meat, and pesticide-free, organic farm products may not look as perfect but are definitely noticeable in taste. Nothing makes me happier than sharing my love of low carb cooking with others and I hope that, through my recipes I can dish up some family food inspiration from my kitchen to yours!
