Fast food – Smothered in delicious tomato ketchup!  Well, fast-food may be a no-go on a keto/low-carb diet, but tomato ketchup is definitely not…. not if you make it yourself!

It only takes 30 minutes to make your own sugar free tomato ketchup using tinned tomatoes, vinegar and a handful of spices. 

This keto ketchup recipe is SO easy to make and tastes so much better than any you can buy in a shop. 

It isn’t as red in colour but that’s because there are no additives i.e artificial colouring

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Garlic Olive Oil

  • 400 g tin chopped Tomatoes

  • 40 ml Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 3 crushed Garlic Clove

  • 1 small chopped Onion

  • 30 g Erythritol

  • 3 drops of liquid Sweetener

  • 1/8th tsp Mixed Ground Spice

  • 1/8th tsp ground Cloves

  • 1/2-1 tsp Himalayan Salt

  • Ground pepper

Method

  • Fry the onion and garlic on a low heat until soft.
  • Add all other ingredients and cook on a low heat for 20 minutes.
  • Blend with an immersion/hand blender until smooth.
  • Pass through a sieve to capture any bits.
  • Transfer to a jar and keep in the fridge .
  • Keeps for circa 2 weeks.
